Jewelry Appraisal Services 
We offer professional appraisal services at all Joseph Jacob Jewelers locations, making it easy for you to 
determine the estimated retail replacement value of your jewelry. A proper appraisal provides the 
documentation needed to obtain or update insurance coverage, giving you peace of mind. 
Accurate appraisals are essential for both you and your insurance provider. In the event that your 
jewelry is lost, stolen, or damaged, a detailed appraisal ensures it can be replaced with an item of like 
kind and quality. 
What to Expect During an Appraisal 
 Your jewelry will be carefully cleaned and inspected upon arrival. 
 Items are then securely sent to our dedicated appraisal center. 
 A certified appraiser will thoroughly evaluate your jewelry, including any diamonds and 
gemstones. 
 We recommend bringing any available documentation, such as purchase receipts or 
diamond/grading reports, to support the appraisal process. 
At the conclusion of the appraisal, you will receive a comprehensive report that includes detailed 
descriptions, images, diagrams, and an estimated retail replacement value suitable for insurance 
purposes. 
What the Appraisal Includes 
 Current competitive retail market values 
 Brand names, serial numbers, and identifying manufacturer marks 
 Metal content, including gold karat and platinum purity 
 Details of prongs, settings, and mountings 
 Evaluation of diamonds and gemstones based on the 4Cs: cut, color, clarity, and carat weight 
 Review of any supporting documentation provided

following terms and conditions: 
This report is based on a professional graduate gemological examination of the item at the time of 
inspection. Standard industry tools and methods are used during the evaluation process. 
All grading and assessments stated in this report represent professional opinions, not absolute facts. 
Diamond and gemstone grading may vary depending on equipment, lighting conditions, grading 
standards, and the experience of the gemologist. 
The values provided are estimates for retail replacement, wholesale, or liquidation purposes, primarily 
intended for insurance use. These values are based on market conditions at the time of issuance and are 
not guarantees of resale value. 
Joseph Jacob Jewelers does not guarantee that another appraiser or laboratory will reach the same
